VARTA Microbattery has announced Mr. Jens Stahmann as new Chief Financial Officer by January 1 st, 2011. He will be responsible for Finance, Controlling and Treasury.
As planned, Mr. Clemens Taschée will leave his duties as interim CFO after a handing over period. Clemens Taschée will return to Montana Tech Components AG, the proprietary company of VARTA Microbattery. Herbert Schein, CEO of VARTA Microbattery states, „We thank Mr. Taschée for his very successful work and his excellent performance at VARTA Microbattery. We welcome Jens Stahmann to the board of directors. With his excellent knowledge and experience from his past business positions, he will fit perfectly into the managing board and the whole VARTA Microbattery.”
Jens Stahmann has studied economics and holds a Master degree in International Business Analysis. He has gained wide experience in the field of International Banking and Business Analysis from his international education and past job challenges. Before Jens Stahmann joined VARTA Microbattery, he has worked for international banks and companies such as WestLB and Constantin Medien AG. At Constantin Medien he had been the authorized representative for Corporate Finance, Treasury and Investor Relations.
Jens Stahmann is 44 years old and married with two kids.
