    Your battery expert in microbatteries

VARTA Micro Group presents research activities at the LOPEC 2015

    26. February 2017

At the 7th international Trade Fair and Congress for Printed Electronics

(LOPEC) VARTA Micro Group will present itself and its research and development

    activities from March 3

    rd to March 5

th of 2015 in Munich. VARTA Microbattery,

which is part of the VARTA Micro Group is a leader in the development

field of printed electronics and has four research projects concerning this matter.

The presentation of the company can be visited in Hall B0 at booth no. 218.

VARTA Microbattery’s four research projects (named A3ple, FLEXIBILITY, BatMat and

KOSIF) deal with issues concerning the optimal material used for the electrochemical component,

such as organic material. In all of these four research projects either secondary nickel

metal-hydryde batteries (NiMH) or primary zinc carbon batteries (ZnC) from VARTA Microbattery

are used. Due to the high quality standards of all of the batteries from VARTA Microbattery

they are optimally compatible for the use of printed batteries. Printed electronics

can be used for energy efficient product labels with electrical display elements, in the use of

thin, flexible sensors as well as intelligent logistics technologies, such as RFID. In the field of

medical devices printed electronics will play a big role in future applications, e.g. in noncontact

    sensors in medical instruments.

VARTA Microbattery is regarded as a technology leader for micro batteries and received an

award at last’s year LOPEC in the international competition of "Organic and Printed Electronics"

    for its special effort.

The VARTA Micro Group team is looking forward to seeing you in Hall B0 booth no. 218.

Also all visitors are very welcome to come and hear the following speeches by Dr. Martin

Krebs, Manager Innovative Projects / Patents, VARTA Microbattery:

March 4th at 10am: “Applications for printed batteries” (Exhibitor Forum, hall B0/130)

March 4th at 4pm: “Industrial perspective of the production of printed sensors” (A3PLE Conference,

    Messe München, Room 21)
