VARTA Microbattery is the winner of the 2006 benchmarking competition "Industrial Excellence Award / The Best Factory" in Germany.
Once again, VARTA Microbattery has successfully participated in a renowned benchmarking project, initiated by the Management Universities WHU /Germany and INSEAD (Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires, a renowned institute in Fontainebleau/France), in cooperation with "Wirtschaftswoche", Germany's biggest weekly maganzine.
The award is recognized for the best operational strategy, product development, supply chain management, basic organisation and human resources, supply chain management and continuous improvement.
